Job Opportunities at Kristi House

Kristi House is a dynamic, caring agency that addresses one of our community's major public health epidemics: child sexual abuse. Kristi House is 13 years old and still growing to meet the needs of Miami-Dade County. At the Kristi House Child Advocacy Center, all staff are part of a team which is helping to heal and protect our community's most vulnerable victims.

Master's Level Therapist

Kristi House seeks a full-time master's level (MSW or MHC) therapist to provide therapeutic services to culturally diverse child sexual abuse victims and their non-offending parents. The position carries a caseload of clients for individual, group and family therapy. A minimum of 1 year Master’s level experience working with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents including assessment and treatment of abuse and trauma. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

Duties include:

  • Provide and/or supervise intake and evaluation to clients referred for therapeutic services
  • Provide and/or supervise individual, group and/or family therapy as appropriate to clients seen at Kristi House.
  • Serve on call for critical incidents and ongoing consultation
  • Plan, organize and implement relevant trainings or presentations for staff
  • Maintain professional standards regarding client record keeping and confidentiality
  • Monitor clients’ clinical progress during the course of treatment
  • Participate in treatment planning and review
  • Coordinate with KH case coordinators and other agencies collocated at the Center to ensure communication among agencies involved with the family
  • Attend weekly meetings with clinical and administrative staff
