Prevention Outreach

Education Outreach Program

A cornerstone to ending child sexual abuse is prevention. The Kristi House Education and Outreach program provides prevention presentations to thousands of children and hundreds of adults on an annual basis with follow up for any participant that expresses a safety concern.

For school-aged children, Kristi House provides developmentally and age appropriate best practices programs. Topics include Safe Child, Boundary Safety, Internet Safety, and Teen Dating Violence.  These programs teach children to recognize abuse when it occurs, react effectively to abusive situations, and to engage adults to intervene to keep them safe.

For adults, Kristi House provides a one-hour “What Every Adult Should Know” prevention presentation and a more in depth three-hour Stewards of Children Training to parents, school staff and other adults in businesses, child-centered organizations and other community groups. This sexual abuse prevention training program educates adults on how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. More about Stewards of Children.
