You can help a child recovering from abuse or sex-trafficking.

Since 1995, Kristi House has served to heal and prevent child abuse and trafficking. The programs and services at Kristi House are made possible through the generosity and support of individuals, corporations and private foundations, combined with local, state and federal funding. In some instances, individual and corporate contributions are used as matching funds to obtain grants. With public funding only covering a little over half of the cost of services needed by our community each year, the importance of individual, corporate and private foundation donations cannot be overstated. Kristi House is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, registered in the State of Florida. Gifts are deductible to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations.

"Our children are the rock on which our future will be built, our greatest asset as a nation."

How to Help:

Through referrals, personal contacts and corporate recommendations, Kristi House seeks funding from private, corporate, and family foundations to support program operations each year. Grants from such foundations cover a range of programming, therapeutic and technological systems. To learn more, contact events@kristihouse.org.

We’re always looking to recruit, secure, and foster fruitful corporate partnerships with strategic alignment. Below are some ways to get started. To learn more, contact events@kristihouse.org.

  • Sponsor an Event or Program – Corporate sponsors serve an integral role for new programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Host a Lunch & Learn – Invite us to come to your workplace to share the healing story of Kristi House and ways to make a difference
  • Corporate Match – If your employer has a corporate matching program, please let us know and share with your colleagues. It’s amazing when your gift can go twice as far!
  • Host a Drive – This is a great way to make a difference as a team in the workplace. Sometimes our corporate donors get competitive with challenges between departments. Get creative, and be sure to send us pictures! We need items on our General Donation Flyer, and seasonally for our Holiday Drive.

Many of our children and families live below the poverty line and are in dire need of basics as we help them recover from abuse. Please see our General Donation Flyer for items we collect throughout the year. We also need lots of help with our annual Holiday drive. Please note we cannot accept used items or clothing.

Kristi House’s child sex-trafficking program, Project GOLD, needs help providing dinner to 15 – 20 girls Monday – Thursday. Food can be catered or ready-to-serve. If you have any connections that could help on a weekly or monthly basis, we have many mouths to feed!

Rally your tribe (your community, workplace, workout group, religious organization, family, neighbors, etc.) and hold a drive for the children of Kristi House! Many of our children and families are in dire need of basics as we help them recover from abuse. Please see our General Donation Flyer for items we collect throughout the year. We also need help with our annual Holiday drive.

Many of our supporters make a big difference by requesting donations to Kristi House in lieu of gifts at their next birthday, anniversary, or other celebration. These can be financial contributions, or an in-kind donation, like a box of diapers or children’s toy. Additionally, Facebook has made it very easy to hold fundraisers on their platform, for more information see here.

Help us get exactly what we need by shopping our Amazon Wishlist. This wish list includes items specifically for our children, our therapists, and our center, that we need to continue providing the highest level of care to our children and families.

Kristi House competes for local, state and federal grants on an ongoing basis. State and local funding is received from the Department of Children and Families, Miami-Dade County Office of Grants Management, City of Miami Gardens, the State of Florida and the Victims of Crimes Act (VOCA). All grant funds are restricted to providing child-victims specific services at Kristi House.

Kristi House receives major federal funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, National Children’s Alliance and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through grant awards. Currently, Kristi House receives federal SAMHSA funds for a community capacity building multi-year program around evidence-based interventions for child sexual-related trauma, the Miami C-START program. Funds from the U.S. Department of Justice-Office of Victims of Crime support Project GOLD with funding for services for child victims of sex trafficking. As with many state and federally funded programs, monies are never guaranteed, and based on performance and the highest standards of fiscal management. Kristi House has been a recipient of federal grants since 2009.
