Friends and supporters came out March 22, 2007, for this Hispanic Initiative kick-off event with Honorary Chair State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle at Cielo Garden & Supperclub in Coconut Grove to raise awareness and funds for Kristi House.

Kristi House hosted another successful Heal a Heart Happy Hour at Centro Restaurant February 1, 2007. Event hostesses and best friends Marivel Mederos and Kate Inman put together a high-energy event that raised money for Kristi House. Kristi House would like to thank our sponsors Centro Restaurant, National Distributing Company, and the Beethoven Society of Miami-Dade.

Kristi House donors and friends supported the children of Kristi House at the 7th annual Touch a Heart Dinner and Auction on November 10, 2006, at the Four Seasons Miami on Brickell Avenue.

The Kristi House staff took a break from the office on September 15 to brainstorm about the organization and how to improve upon services provided at Kristi House. After a long day of group work, they relaxed at a staff happy hour provided by Tarpon Bend.

Kristi House, Sports Club/LA and Escopazzo Express co-sponsored the Heal A Heart Happy Hour in the Sports Club/LA lobby at the Four Seasons Tower. DJ Mark Leventhal played music as supporters danced the night away. A special thanks to Marco Uperi of Old Bridge Inc who provided the wine. The event was a great success for Kristi House.

Kristi House's annual conference on the Multidisciplinary Approach to the Investigation of Child Abuse was sold out April 24-25, 2006, at the Sea View Hotel on Bal Harbour with participants from throughout the country.

Friends of Kristi House celebrated the organization's 10th Birthday April 5th with a party and recognition for 9 outstanding 10-year board volunteers.

Kristi House and Florida International University hosted the 2nd Annual Conference on the Multidisciplinary Approach to the Investigation of Child Abuse, Feb. 28-Mar. 1, 2005. The focus this was on Mental Health Best Practices with leading experts presenting the latest in evidence-based practices.

On Apr. 5, 2005, Kristi House friends celebrated Kristi House's 9th anniversary and helped raise funds as part of Prevent Child Abuse month. Kristi House bracelets were unveiled this evening -- the latest in wrist fashion available in a lovely Kristi House blue on this website.

On Jan. 12, 2005, Florida Attorney General Charlie Crist visited Kristi House to see the program and meet the people serving children and families in Miami-Dade. His visit included a reception hosted by the Law Offices of McGrane, Nosich & Ganz, P.A.

Kristi House hosted its Fifth Annual Touch A Heart Gourmet Dinner & Auction Sat., Nov. 6, at the Four Seasons Miami with a record 240 supporters and friends. Exotic vacations, exquisite wines, jewelry, art and unique gifts were auctioned for a record-breaking successful event.

More than 150 participants from throughout Florida and several other states attended the Multi-disciplinary Approach to Investigating Child Abuse conference Apr. 26-27, 2004, marking the beginning of national training on child sexual abuse from Kristi House, hosted tin partnership with the Florida International University School of Social Work’s Institute for Children & Families at Risk.
